oraz prawdziwych przeciwwskazań do szczepień wydaje się palącą koniecznością. Im mniej lekarz wie na temat szczepień, tym rzadziej zaleca je swoim
pacjentom. To właśnie brak wiedzy stał się główną przyczyną niesłusznego odraczania szczepień u pacjentów, a także unikania szczepień przez
samych lekarzy. Artykuł zawiera aktualne zalecenia dotyczące przeciwwskazań do szczepień oraz błędne, lecz popularne przekonania na ten temat.
Abstract:
Vaccines are a reasonable and modern means to prevent many dangerous, infectious diseases. Increasing popularity of anti-vaccination movements should
not be ignored. Nowadays, education of doctors and other health care professionals concerning safety, current indications and real contraindications of
vaccinations seems to be more crucial than ever. The less doctors know about vaccines, the less frequently they recommend vaccinations to their patients.
Consequently, the vast deficit of knowledge has become the main reason of vaccination avoidance and delay, even among doctors. This paper describes
popular misconceptions and false beliefs concerning vaccinations on one hand, and discusses real contraindications to vaccinations on the other.
