Przezklatkowe badanie ultrasonograficzne płuc (PBUP) jest metodą diagnostyczną pozwalającą na ocenę wielu stanów patologicznych, zlokalizowanych w obrębie płuc u dzieci. Badanie można przeprowadzić przy zastosowaniu powszechnie dostępnych aparatów ultrasonograficznych, zarówno w warunkach szpitalnych, jak i przy łóżku pacjenta lub w gabinecie lekarza podstawowej opieki zdrowotnej. Praca przedstawia podstawy techniczne badania, omówienie prawidłowego obrazu płuc u dzieci oraz możliwość wykorzystania PBUP w diagnostyce wybranych stanów chorobowych. Zaprezentowano również przegląd literatury dotyczący aktualnego miejsca badania w postępowaniu diagnostycznym i terapeutycznym.Abstract:
Transthoracic lung ultrasound is a diagnostic technique allowing evaluation of diverse pathological conditions of lungs in children. The examination may be performed with commonly available ultrasound devices, in the hospital, at the bedside or in the office of a primary care physician. The paper presents the technical basis for the examination, description of normal image of the lungs in children and describes the usability of the results in the diagnosis of several medical conditions. The publication also includes a literature review concerning the technique’s current applicability in the diagnostic and therapeutic procedure.
